- Determination
- Self-control.
What you need to focus on:
calories in (diet) and calories out (calorie deficit + exercise).
It's that easy.
Diet is everything. Exercise speeds up the process, but DIET. IS. EVERYTHING.
Fat loss will not occur as efficiently as you want if you don't have a good diet. If you're thinking "okay I'll start eating sandwiches, some tuna pasta and drink a bit of orange juice", then you're off to a good start, but you've got a long way to go. (Well, tbh, it's as long as you make it.)
Calories in: Diet
The foods you eat are nowhere near as important as the amount of calories you eat.
To lose fat you need your body to use more energy (calories) than it takes in.
RDA says the average woman should consume 2000 calories a day. It is INCREDIBLY easy to eat more than this if you lack self-control, boredom eat, eat without realising you're eating, snack a lot between meals, eat larges, and so on and so forth.
Don't consume 2000 calories if you're looking to lose the fat.
Calories out: Exercise
"Eat less, move more." I'm sure you've heard this phrase a million times before. I shall repeat it a million times more on this blog. =)
I can't deny it doesn't speak the truth. If you move more, you force your body to work harder, so your body has to use more energy, so in order for it to use energy it has to burn calories, thus there is caloric burn and when working in conjunction with a good diet you can lose fat.
